Upside Down Umbrella

Jeremy Keenan is a sound artist and composer, releasing music under the name Upside Down Umbrella. His sound is purposefully odd: a sparse mixture of synthesised sounds, ambient scenes and organic instruments.

For Jeremy’s second studio album, Fantastic & Tangible, he commissioned me to create an identity around the Upside Down Umbrella sound. Taking his strange sound as inspiration, the Upside Down Umbrella symbol, UDU logotype and album photography were created. 

The final result blends evocative organic photography and sparse geometric symbols. The identity is set in a careful selection of greys and muted natural colours.
